This is werewolf/mafia for 5-15 players, played in person and moderated by a server.
To start a game make up a room name and tell everybody to join that room on their device. All of the players will be
assigned physical seats in a circle, so either pick your seats first and join the room in clockwise order or
rearrange your physical seating after the game has assigned it. At the start of the game each team will be divided
into Good and Evil and every player will get a power.
The Good team is composed of Villagers with beneficial powers and Strangers with not-so-beneficial powers. They win
when the werewolf is killed, which will require deduction and cooperation to find the werewolf and execute
The Evil team is composed of one werewolf and one or more Minions. The werewolf kills 1 player each night. They win
by keeping the werewolf alive until 2
players remain, which will require carefully crafted lies and cunning.
If there are 7 or more players the game begins with the Evil team learning each others' identities. It then
alternates between a day and night cycle, beginning with the night. The werewolf does not kill on the initial night
Each day all players discuss and then vote on whom to execute. During the discussion phase players are free to have
private conversations by whispering or leaving the circle. The voting phase begins with a call for nominations. Each
player may only
nominate once per day and be nominated once per day. Upon nomination there is a yes/no vote, following by repeated
calls for nominations until all players have nominated or passed. The game will then kill the player who has more
yes votes than any other, so long as the number of yes votes is greater than or equal to half the number of living
players. If there is a tie then nobody will die.
Each night all players privately make decisions based on their role while the werewolf chooses someone to
Dead players may still participate in all discussions and offer information they may have withheld or received after
dying. They do not participate in the voting process except for the ability to cast a single yes vote for the rest
of the game, which is tracked by the presence of a ghost on their player icon.
